I already have three tattoos and want to add to my collection. I have a lower back tattoo, tattoos on my shoulder blades and one on my lower stomach. All mean a lot to me so if you're going to tell me they're disgusting and trashy, go find someone else to tell it to, I don't want to know. I want to commemorate my dad in a tattoo, he died some time ago in Iraq. He was in the british SAS and whilst I toyed with the idea of the SAS image and / or the motto i.e. http://www.diggerhistory.info/images/badges-regt/badge-regiment-sas.gif I don't feel like it would be respectful of me to use either of them. I wasn't in the SAS and don't feel as if I have the right to have them tattooed on my body. My dad was my hero and I want something to commemorate him but I don't want something showing my sadness for his death, I want to celebrate his life as much as I can. I have some ideas but I just want to see what other people came up with. My other potential tattoo is one signifying how much I've overcome, I used to have an eating disorder and I'm bipolar and I want something to constantly remind me how well I've done. I'm thinking "harder, better, faster, stronger, that that don't kill me can only make me stronger" or possibly "work it harder, make it better, do it faster, make us stronger" Ideas for both and placement would be great. I should add, I probably won't use exact tattoo ideas as I prefer unique tattoos, but most ideas I get are incorporated when I get new tattoos.
