i got my lip pierced on sunday february 28 2010. now i read up on it and alot of places said not to use neosporin or alcohol or peroxide and all that. i smoke, so i rinse with mouth wash frequently. barely today(march 3.) i noticed as i was about to brush my teeth there was like a "discharge" around the ring inside my mouth. is that bad? does that mean its infected? its my first piercing so im kinda freaking out. for the past 3 days its been kinda red and swollen, but nothing outta the ordinary like bleeding or anything. i was also thinking maybe i needed a longer ring for the time being, but i dont want to over react about it. any suggestions? what should i do? should i get a longer piercing? wait it out to see if it gets better or worse because its only been 3 days? idk wat to do! please helpp???[:
ive read alot of pages on google about the healing process and the "what if's" about it getting infected. some made sense and some didnt. i dont know who to believe. helppp???!
the discharge is like a clearish white.
&& i also wanted to know like about the inside. like how it heals around the ring, does that go away eventually? is it possible that my skin can heal over the ring? :/
