Does anyone know if there is a website for the Body Co.? I have these shoes and I can't remember where I bought them from so I've been searching online but can't find anything. They have a picture of a little person stretched backwards sort of leaping into the air I guess. Anyone know of a website I can find them at?

  1. KJ Says:

These are Kmart shoes. I am looking for them online also. Not having much luck.

  2. Beck Says:

I am looking for them also. My mom has been buying them from Kmart for years. Kmart no longer carries them. I have seached the internet and have been unable to find them anywhere except ebay where the price so far has been double.

  3. MCF Says:

I’m told Sears has bought the Body Company. A friend is looking for the Body Company’s athletic shoes that fasten with Velcro, but apparently those have been discontinued - or at leat Sears does not carry them.

  4. Helen Jo Says:

I, too, have bought these high-top, tube, velcro close tennis shoes for more than 30 years…at K-Mart. Shame they always discontinue stuff that sells??!! The only shoe similar is the Reebok 71…I have seen them on-line $60. I used to buy these until I was blessed to find The Body Co. style at K-Mart. I teach school and this is the only tennis shoe my principal has approved as dress appropriate for our ladies faculty. If any one finds them please be so kind as to help us out those who have loved this great shoe for so many years…Maybe someone out there can start a shoe business and start making them again!!! Helen

  5. jean Says:

I too have been buying this shoe for many years. They are the only ones that do not cause pain in my back when I walk. If any one should find a source for the Body Co. shoe please let me know.

  6. Terri Says:

Me, too! I’m lost without these shoes and mine are almost beyond wearing! Has anyone found them yet?

  7. janis mccoy Says:

I too now join you all in your pain. I have been buying the body co brand sneakers at K-Mart for at least 30 years and now I cannot find them. I do not know what I am going to do. I just tried on another brand at K-Mart, definately not the same.

  8. Cindy Says:

I too have been looking on line trying to find them. If anyone has any luck please let me know. Go figure. We find shoes that we love & have been buying for years & now they are gone. They could have at least warned us so we could have stocked up!

  9. Diane Says:

My girlfriend works foe K-mart. She told me :

no one carries them any more
it was a meldisco brand…and meldisco no longer exists.
the only you can say is
1-call 1 80063kmart and let them know we have customers looking for the body co. brand.
So it looks like we need to call K-mart and tell them what we want !!!!

  10. Gloria Marino Says:

I thought I was alone with my problem of being unable to find my favorite KMart shoes. At least I know I have company. Has anyone found a good substitute?

  11. ec clark Says:

i can’t find body works but rebok makes the same ones of course for a hole lot more money

  12. Lisa Says:

Yep, these were Kmart Shoes. The Body Company athletic gym shoes. Bought them for years. Very comfortable and affordable. They were discontinued since Sears bought them out. What a shame. Can not find them anywhere on the internet. If anyone finds them please let me know.

  13. tracey Says:

OMG I am so upset I cannot find these sneakers either. I have been searching for years now. I wish someone would let us know who is carrying them now because I have worn them out so badly and cannot replace them.
I will not throw them out either because i cant find them.
Please anyone out there help us out.

  14. Nancy Says:

I too have been wearing these sneakers for 30 years. I cannot find a replacement that fits without pain. Seems the new KMart buyers are catering more to the young crowd…never mind us seniors.

  15. Kathy Says:

Isn’t it how it really goes when you find something that really fits good, keeps it shape and comfort for always,… and gone……. not be be seen or found agian. If someone finds out any information on these tennis shoes please let me know as I will do the same .

  16. karen Says:

I have also been looking for The Body Co. Shoes with no luck :(

  17. Chris Says:

I am also looking for The Body Co. sneakers. I always bought them at Kmart. If I knew I wouldn’t be able to find them, I would have bought a bunch of them. Let me know it you find them.

  18. Kathie Says:

Bummer. I am a city mail carrier with major foot problems and the only shoe that I have found that does not cause me extreme pain (and meets the postal service standard) is the Body Company black jogger. A while back I bought quite a few pairs of them, but I only have one pair left and 6 years until I retire!! I wondered why I could not find them any more. If anyone finds a source for them, I (and my feet) would be extremely grateful!

  19. jinane Says:

hi, i bought the shoes once and i love them! does anyone know where to find them?

  20. karen Says:

If anyone finds any body co shoes please let me know!

  21. Maria Says:

I am down to my last pair in the closet and one pair on my feet. I need these sneakers. Please send help!!!

  22. Shelley Says:

Same as everyone else here. I went to buy them one day about a year ago and they were no where to be found at ANY kmart in my area. If I would have found them finally I would have bought a lot of them knowing they might be going away but they never came back in. I have also been looking on the internet with no luck. Maybe the company will get back into business?

  23. Sonja Says:

I am having the same problem finding the Body Co shoes. Never fails you find something that works for you and they discontinue it.

  24. Vera Jennings Says:

My last pair of Body Co. shoes are about 10 years old. They are ragged, toes
are out, but still the best support of any tennis shoes. I only wear them in the
garden. I too have looked everywhere. I would write the Body Co if I had an
address. Does anyone have an address?

  25. susan Says:

Those shoes used to be sold at K-mart but they do not have them anymore I wish I couls find them .

  26. Kim Says:

I’ve been hoping Kmart would bring back The Body Company tennis shoes. I’ve been searching for over a year, with no luck. Now I know why. Today I found a tennis shoe that has the comfort and fit I’ve become used to with the Body Company shoe. They are made by Champion and sold at PayLess Shoes. The style is “Score” and the only difference is that the upper is mesh rather than canvas. Other than that, they are stylish and roomy (tend to run a little large… I wore an 8W in Body Company, an 8 with Champion), and they let my feet be “feet” without all the extra humps and bumps of the insoles and soles of today’s athletic shoes.

I am so glad I found this website because it put me on track to find these great shoes by Champion. They are a little pricier than Body Company ($29.99), but with the PayLess BOGO 1/2 Off sale, you can get them down to $22/pair.

  27. Melanie Says:

    Hi,

My Mum loves her Body Co. tennies and thought she bought at K-Mart, so I’ve been searching this morning for them. Glad I saw all of your comments…I may just email K-Mart to ask them to bring them back.

My Mum fractured her hip had an operation in November 2009, and is recovering wonderfully and the only shoes she is wearing is her Body Co. tennies!

Hopefully, the shoes will make a come-back!

    God bless,

    Melanie

  28. Betty Says:

I just told my husband that I need a new pair of shoes. So I decided to go online to search for body co. shoes and found that am not alone. So with that said call me Reply # 28. I will never give up the search for my favorite shoes. And I also work at k mart. So I do apologize for k mart taking over the shoe dept. So good luck to us all. I will find them.

  29. Karen Says:

Well, I feel some relief that I’m not the only person who was totally hooked on these Body Co. shoes. I am a senior citizen and run in agility trials with my dog. I have 3 old pairs of these shoes, and I don’t know what I’m going to do when they fall off my feet. I also have 2 new pairs of these shoes, but I’m holding on to them for… well, for what? Just because I know they’re the last ones, so I’m saving them I guess. Just hope (like all the rest of you) that KMart will bring them back.

  30. Carol Says:

I need them….I want them & I have to have them!!!! I will call Kmart & will try the Payless to see if those will work….If anyone finds them let me know!!!
Oops the above number is not working any longer. One thing I use is the Dr Scholls “sport” inserts but I’ve always used them in the Body Co shoes. They aren’t as good in other shoes.

  31. judy Lucia Says:

If anyone finds theses shoes, please let me know

  32. Karen Says:

Although I love The Body Co. shoes, and am frustrated and sad that they aren’t available and longer, I have a pair of Women’s Size 11 Body Co. shoes, only worn briefly twice, that I would be willing to sell to someone. I preferred the ‘running shoe’ style, and these have flatter soles and heels and just don’t work for me. If anyone is interested, please email me at KROsband@gmail.com.

  33. The Carolina Bee Says:

I have been looking for The Body Co aerobics type, low top sneakers, that looks like the Reobock sneakers, but I like it better than the Reobock sneakers. I can’t find them anywhere and I am happy to know that there are others out there also looking. These sneakers makes me feel so relax and is a comfort for my feet, body and mind. The pair that I am wearing now is wearing out, but there is nothing out there that I try on that makes me and my feet feel good. Not being able to locate thenm has added a little stress and depression to my life. I am asking for The Body Co or whoever can make the same shoes to please do so. I need these shoes. Please help me. Thank you.

  34. kathryn Says:

I also did not realize so many people were hooked on The Body Co. sneakers. I volunteer in a hospital and they are the only sneakers I can walk in all day on the concrete floors and not have sore feet or a back ache. I do hope someone along the line can help us all.

  35. sandra Says:

KMART had the body company and a brand made by kathy Ireland they were very comfortable. And lasted for a long time. I have tried other shoes and the bottom crack or they come unglued and they are not comfortable. There had to be shoes out there somewhere.

  36. patti Says:

i’ve been a waitress for 33 yrs…the first 10 , i cried after every shift because of foot pain…then i found body co sneaks…live was good, now i’m back to crying…so glad everybody else feels the same way.

  37. sylvia Says:

i see that iam not the only one on these tennis shoes, yes i have been going to k-mart to see if they have them again, they seem to go on and off, i just email them to see if they will have them again, or what is happening, and you are all right about the tennis shoes very comfortable i tryed brand names, but the cheapie one’s work for me as i see so does veryone else. if any one gets some response please let me know my feet are calling.

  38. Pauline Flaga Says:

Help. I need my The Body Co. shoes now !!!! Only ones that are comfortable. Got my old ones at KMart. Need more !!

  39. Nicky Says:

Add me to the list. I don’t like to shop so when I get down to one pair, I would go to KMart and buy 6 to 8 pairs. Well it’s that time again, but no more Body Co sneakers! What will I do? Put me on the list, and let me know if you find them, PLEASE!!!

  40. DINA PAYEUR Says:

I HAVE ALSO BEEN LOOKING FOR THESE SHOES I CAN WALK ALL DAY IN THEM K-MART OR SOMEONE PLEASE BRING THEM BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!
    DINA

  41. Lois Says:

I also was buying the Body Co shoe at Kmart for years. Had severed a ligament in my ankle and they are the most comfortable ones I have found in years and the best support for my ankle. Haven’t been able to find them and mine are getting pretty worn. I usually would buy two pair at a time. PLEASE let us know where they are sold!!

  42. Kari Says:

OMG!! I also have been looking for those shoes!! Mine i have now are down to no tread and cracks that get my socks wet!! They have to be found somewhere!! I’m sure they’re found in China!!

  43. Kai Says:

FYI. In a desperate search for these shoes, I discovered the company Footstar, Inc/Meldisco was the producer of The Body Company Foot Wear. Their contract with K-mart ended in 2008 and with no avenue for their product, sales plummeted. The shares dropped to below $1. Sure wish I had the money and knowledge it would have saved me lots of money in the long run. The Company missed the mark, They should have doubled the price and marketed them as a heal all health shoe. I went to every store in a 50 mile radius and bought up my size. Like many of you they are worn, rewashed and reglued. Next step is to resole them. Do you suppose Martha Stewart would be interested in fighting for our cause? we can give it a try!

  44. Jan Says:

Put me down in the long line of those who would drive MILES to get another pair of those shoes! I had taken my last stock-piled pair and started wearing them. Went to KMart to re-stock, only to find out - they are NO more!!! Again - such a shame - surely there are enough people wanting them - open back up the businses - create more jobs - and enjoy HAPPY FEET!!!

  45. Jamie Says:

Put me on the list for The Body Co. shoes.

  46. Claudia Says:

Let’s all write a letter to K Marts corporate office.

  47. Carole Says:

My 80 year old mother only wears the Body Co. shoes. After reading these posts, I went digging. I called Footstar/Meldisco and spoke to a very nice man who said they went out of business in 2008. K-Mart bought out their inventory. He suggested I call K-Mart corporate. So I did. I spoke to a very clueless woman in “customer service” who said she didn’t know anything and didn’t know who to call. Someone else pick up the ball! Maybe you’ll have better luck.

  48. Joyce Says:

I’ve been looking for the Body Company sneakers also. They were the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. Cannot find anything that even compares to them. If anyone does come across them please post where.
Kmart was the only place to sell them and they no longer do.

  49. donna wentworth Says:

I also have bought body company sneakers from K mart for years and went to get a pair and can’t find them….. if anyone finds please post

  50. Jan Says:

I am also looking for these tennis shoes. I have one pair left that I do not want to wear until I find them. Reply to 28…..please let me know when you find them. I am on my feet all day long and they are the only shoes that I can wear.
Kmart, please review your products and bring these tennis shoes from Body Co. back into your stores.

  51. Neda Says:

I, too, have been wearing Body Co. shoes for over 20 years. They are actually the only tennies that I’ve worn that people compliment me on and my feet felt SOOOOOO good. I have back issues and with those shoes, I don’t hurt.
PLEASE WRITE OR CALL K-MART CORPORATE!! If enough of us call, we may see them again. I have spent a whole evening on the internet looking for them, to no avail. Keep this website marked so if you are the lucky one to find them, you can let us know!

  52. Neda Hall Says:

The phone number to Kmart is 1-866-KMART4U.

I spoke to a gentleman that told me that he has no info on Body Co shoes but he put me on hold and when he came back…he said no one has any info on them.

I called back and chose option #4 (complaints). I gave him the website so he can see what people want. He said that from time to time, they re-evaluate products as per correspondence so CALL HIM NOW!!!

  53. Jill Says:

PLEASE…PLEASE…..PLEASE…SOMEONE FIND OUR BODY CO. TENNIS SHOES AND SOON. KMART IS MISSING THE OPPORTUNITY TO SELL TO ALL US FAITHFUL CUSTOMERS….

  54. Jennifer Says:

I have been wearing the BODY CO.tennis shoes for about 20 years….Can’t wear anything else that doesn’t hurt my back…Kmart..please do your research and bring these tennis shoes back to your stores…..If not, please find us faithful customers a replacement that feels the same….

  55. The Duke Says:

I have been searching for a long time for The Body Co sneakers. Looking for the mid highs in black. Near to impossible to find!!!! I am adding myself to this list. I really don’t think KMart cares about carrying this brand of sneaker other than their own!! I read in previous post, that maybe we should go to Martha Stewart and maybe that would be your best bet. She certainly has the money and the clout to do it but only if she’s interested. I think it’s going to take someone with clout to get this done and even talk to Martha Stewart.

  56. Rosemarie Says:

Was looking for the Body Co low sneakers on line since Kmart no longer carries them and had no intention of selling them. The company who made them is out of busines…and we are out of luck. Closest thing I found is the Reebok ones for $39.99 I NEVER paid that much at K-Mart. Been a warm summer so I only wore something on my feet when I had to go someplace that required shoes. Saving my LAST pair of Body Co. speakers for as long as I can.

Glad I am not the only one who is pulling their hair out trying to find these sneakers! sigh

  57. Sheila Says:

The Body Co. tennis shoes are the best. I have to have those shoes for work.. They are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. PLEASE sell them again.

  58. Sonya Says:

Please K-Mart I am disabled w/fibromyalgia, & arthiritis in my knees I need
the body shoe so bad they help with the pain. Pls add me to the list of the others & help us. Thanks very interested in the body shoe I need it so bad.

  59. Chris Matuszczak Says:

I really thought I was alone in the love I had for these shoes! They are THE BEST! Other brands I thought would compare have been donated to various charities. Nothing surpasses the comfort of The Body Co. shoes - - - NOTHING! I’m hoping KMart will hear our plea and reconsider. Sears/KMart have enough $$ to invest in resurrecting the company that produced them. Put some people to work and get those shoes on the shelves again.

  60. Sandy Says:

I have been hoping K mart would carry these shoes again. I finally looked at the bottom of my shoe and came on line to hopefully find where I could get them,. I’m so shocked to hear so so many people out there loved the Body Com sneakers. I work in a department store and each time I wore them I had no problems at the end of my shift. Now my feet hurt and my knees. K mart please bring these shoes back.

  61. Kim Says:

This is sooooooooo depressing I LOVE these shoes…the white high tops are great i am going to call k-mart corporate everyday!!!!!!!!!

  62. Kim Says:

This is depressing I LOVE these SHOES………..K-Mart please bring them back. my favorites were the white high tops.

  63. PC Says:

Well, this does’t sound good. Im writing to Kmart. I too want these shoes back.
I have tried many. All hurt my feet. Hope we can get Kmart to sell again.

  64. SARAH Says:

PLEASE KMART…BRING THESE BODY CO TENNIS SHOES BACK….I CAN’T WEAR ANY OTHER SHOES…IF ANYONE FINDS A SHOE THAT IS SIMILIAR…PLEASE POST ON THIS WEB SITE.
CALL KMART AND VOICE YOUR OPINIONS ASAP.

  65. Ozzy Says:

Hi I had a listing on ebay for the body co. high top in black size 9. A customer wrote to me looking for a specific size for her grandma and which led me to this site. I just closed the auction and I want to offer them for sale to anyone who would like these shoes. If I left them on ebay, there is the potential that they would sell immediately, so I want to offer them to the person who responds. I can only accept paypal. If you want I can relist them on ebay again if that might be an easier way and safer way to purchase for you. I just created a yahoo for anyone to respond. bodycosac@yahoo.com ….Also, I had put on ebay that it does not come with a box, but I have found the orig. box and these are brand new. Here they are again Just 1 pair, a size 9 black High Top. thank you

  66. Sherry Says:

Oh please, please, please bring back The Body Co shoes. I have tried so many different shoes and none compare.

  67. Bonnie Mcglown Says:

In 2008 I bought a pair of brand new body co, tennis shoe for $5.00 at the salvation army store dow the street from kmart. I’m still wearing them. They are the most comfortable shoe i ‘ve wore in my life. I couldn’t walk two block without stopping to rest my painful tired legs. Now It’s like I have new legs!! I can walk without pain. I have call every store in town and searched online and have not found any. Someone suggested calling Kmart head quarters. It’s a good idea. We need those shoes.

  68. Betty Buhler Says:

  78. Carol Says:

I also have been buying Body Company sneakers for several years; tried to find another pair for over a year; I loved them. I just bought a pair of Reeboks; lots more money DON’T WASTE YOUR $$$. Lets keep asking Sears and K-Mart to bring them back. Surely some other manufacture can make something as good.

  79. Tami Says:

I love the Body & co shoes also. I have been wearing them for years and now I am down to my last pair. I can’t find them anywhere. Can somebody please bring them back. They are so comfortable and they last for a long time. Why would you get rid of them with so many people buying them. Doesn’t make sense.

  80. Margaret Says:

I just found a pair of Body Co. shoes in the trunk of my car. I was keeping them there for an emergency. Now I will clean them up and wear them.

  81. Mary Hover Says:

I have been searching for The Body Co. velcro-closure athletic shoes. I have been wearing my one pair until they are starting to split. I would dearly love to get several more pair of them. I’ve never had a better-fitting or more comfortable ’sneaker’. Please, someone, make them again at dear ol’ K-Mart - or ANYWHERE!!!

  82. TERESA GARSTECKI Says:

I didn’t know so many people like Body Co.tennis shoes like I do!!!I would give anything to find them again!!!! I just had to throw my shoes.Wore out!!!I could cry.I wish they would make them again.

  83. Carolyn Morris Says:

Like everyone else, I am stll searching for a comparable shoe in comfprt. I have paid way too money trying to find the same fit & feel. I don’t believe it exist’s in the realm of shoe makers. I am asking Kmart to re-think this. PLEASE, bring back the Body Co shoe. I am a faithful rewards shopper here in my hometown. My sister has always worn the same shoe as I do. Now we are both out of luck. HELP !!!!!

  84. margaret Says:

My mom just had me look up these shoes online and I found this post. I can’t believe how many people are looking for these shoes!! They need to bring them back. My mom can’t walk in any other shoes

I found this on Ebay in case someone is a size 6 1/2
    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=The+Body+Company+shoes&_sacat=0&_odkw=The+Body+Company+athletic+gym+shoes&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

  85. Pippi Says:

Don’t you folks read? Waaaaay back at post #9 it was stated that the Body Co. brand was made by a company called meldisco, which no longer exists. Yet 75 more posts about how much you miss the Body Co. sneaker. It adds nothing to the conversation to continue to moan about “I miss this shoe”, and “it’s the only one my Mother wears”, and “let’s all call K Mart”.
What good is it to call K Mart if the manufacturer isn’t making them?
Thanks, #84, for adding something productive to this thread.

  86. Selma Says:

Has anyone tried the Champion Score shoe sold at Payless?
They are supposed to be similar to the Body Co. I am going
to Payless tomorrow to see if they are almost the same and
I will post the results of my trip.

  87. Jan Tumbleson Says:

I also am looking for the body co. shoes
