Ok my hair is very knotty. Right now im using suave and I know that it is like the worst conditioner to use but that’s all I have.My hair is chest length and very straight but I have lots of knots in the back. I don’t know what to do so could you give tell me what to do or tell me what to buy preferably at like wal mart or some place easy to go. Also my friend told me that if I straighten my hair it will keep it from knotting is that true?? I towel/air dry my hair in the morning and comb it in the shower and out. Thanks:)

So a couple of weeks ago I dyed my hair dark brown. My hair lady said the color I picked would not give my hair a redish tint because a couple months befor that I dyed my hair a light brown and it ended up looking as if I had reddish orange hair, so my went ahead trusting my stylist and when my hair was all done it was red!!! I did not want it red and people say something about it everyday some kid even asked if it was SUPPOSED to be purple. I really want brown hair but now Im afraid that my hair will keep turning out red... What should I do

so here's the thing, i've had really really long, really really thick hair my whole life. about last november, i got a lot of it cut off - i guess i got tired of the knots, and how long and thick it was. so i got about 6 inches cut off and a LOT of the weight - i got it cut to about my shoulders (not short enough to be a bob, but not long.) i loved it for a few weeks, it was such a relief to have hair that was easily manageable! but now, in february, im SICK of my sort-of-short hair! the layers have grown out so its not even styled, but its still annoyingly short and i rrealise it looked SO much better long! how long will it take to grow long again? about 4 inches? sorry to sound like such a dumbasss... but i miss my long hair :( thanks Xx
